The Stories THREE VIEWINGS includes three short stories loosely related by the fact that they all take place at the same funeral home. It would be a mistake, however, to assume that such a setting inevitably evokes absurdist farce or some type of depression. The setting of this play is simply a brilliantly conceived backdrop for stories that speak very seriously to us in a lightly "off kilter" manner. Three compelling characters tell us three stories about how the death of a loved one has affected their lives. In the first viewing, "Tell-Tale," funeral director Emil (Brian Faracy) comically reveals the essence of a man's longing. In "The Thief of Tears," Mac (Amy Geyser) discovers what it means to finally collect on a long overdue debt. Finally, recently widowed Virginia (Elaine Wyler) discovers important details about her husband's life that were unknown to her prior to his death in "Thirteen Things about Ed Carpolotti."
